Medical innovation is crucial, but rarely exciting. iRhythm Technologies was about to launch their next-generation Zio cardiac monitor and MyZio patient app, and they needed promotional assets that could showcase technical innovations while keeping healthcare providers and patients engaged.

Having previously served as iRhythm's Communications Editor, I was brought back specifically for this launch. With creative freedom and deep product and industry knowledge, I identified the features that would matter most to both audiences and developed a video strategy that balanced technical details with emotional impact, producing:

  • A primary sizzle reel for the MyZio app
  • Supplementary educational videos
  • Social proof testimonial content

Each video combined:

  • Custom After Effects animations showing interface details
  • Brand-aligned motion graphics integrated with product imagery
  • Music and voice-over narration guiding viewers through the experience

The video suite became central to iRhythm's product launch, successfully:

People buy why you make something more than what you make. iRhythm’s new technology deserved to be elevated through impactful storytelling and, by focusing on how technology improves lives rather than just how it works, I created content that resonated with practitioners, patients, and everyone else involved.
